Free Business Workshop: Road to the World Events
Road to the World Events: Free Business Workshop Join the Monterey Park Chamber of Commerce on July 9th for a free business workshop focused on positioning local businesses for the 2028 Olympic Games. Guest speaker Jack Ochoa, California Small Business Subject Matter Expert with the LA28 Marketing Firm, will walk attendees through how to register as a vendor, complete small business registration in under 45 minutes, and navigate the race- and gender-neutral vendor climate the Games are committed to. The session opens at 10am, followed by an 11am AI workshop, at the Holiday Inn & Suites Monterey Park (VIP Room, 2nd Floor). Registration is required and space is limited. Featured: Creative Futures — How to Design a Flyer As part of the day's programming, join Beverly Lim, owner of Unlimited Design Co. and founder of MPCC's Creative Futures initiative, for a hands-on session on flyer design fundamentals. True to the workshop's signature method, the session starts with the bad flyer first, then builds outward through six core pillars: hierarchy, typography, white space, color, call to action, and QR codes. Designed specifically for small business owners with no design background, this session gives attendees a practical framework they can apply immediately to their own marketing materials.
