Pageant Night Logistics

Hi everyone — Sunday was all about getting ready for the big night.
We walked through pageant-day timing, what to pack, helpers, and how the evening will unfold on Saturday, October 10 at the Courtyard by Marriott.
Please read this one carefully and save it. The show starts promptly at 5:00 PM. Guest check-in begins at 4:00 PM.

Your pageant-day schedule
Saturday, October 10 — Courtyard by Marriott, Monterey Park. Arrive ready to work the full day.

10:00 AM
|
Contestant check-in
Marriott lobby. You'll receive badges. Check in with your helper (must be female) and your hair & makeup artist.
|

10:30–12:30
|
Hair & makeup
2nd-floor conference room. Joleen has assigned a hair & makeup artist for each contestant; they'll be with you through 12:30 PM. Follow their instructions for how to prep your hair and face beforehand.

12:30 PM
|
Lunch
Light sandwiches will be provided. Please bring a water bottle, straw, snacks, and anything else you'll need through the afternoon.

1:00–2:00
|
Full program run-through on stage
Contestants, MC, pageant committee, and production team.
|
|
2:00–4:00
|
Change for interview, then judges' pre-interview
Change into interview clothing, then line up. Interviews are on the 2nd floor — everyone else must leave the interview room.

4:00–4:45
|
Snack & final touch-up
Contestant snacks will be available. Security will also stop by around 4:00 PM to meet you and walk the layout.

4:45–5:00
|
Meet at the door & walk to the ballroom
All contestants and the pageant committee together.

5:00 PM
|
Show starts promptly
Guest check-in is 4:00–5:00 PM. Please tell family and friends we start on time.
|

|
|
How the evening unfolds
After opening remarks: self-introduction & walk, a short history video, special recognitions, talent, dinner service, awards, on-stage Q&A, raffle, crowning, then family photos around 8:40 PM.

What to bring
Press dresses the night before. Nails should be nude or a light color (do this the night before too). Pack everything in a labeled duffle bag.
|
Hang outfits on hangers and label them clearly. Bring:
• All outfits, plus nude undergarments already tried on with each look
• Comfortable shoes, interview shoes, pageant heels, and talent-show shoes
• Talent props — labeled and checked in at registration so they can go backstage
• A clothing rack (contestants are bringing these)
• Mirror, hair spray, brush, comb, touch-up makeup, bobby pins, safety pins, deodorant, shoe padding if needed
• Water bottle, straw, snacks, and a light lunch backup

Helpers
|
Each contestant may bring one helper (female). This is in addition to the hair & makeup artist already assigned.
Please send a photo ID copy of your helper to Bev ahead of time. Helpers must have an access badge to be backstage.
