MISS & MISS TEEN MONTEREY PARK · 2026
Session Recap Stage Presence & the Walk
Sunday, September 13, 2026 · Session 7
|
| |
|
Hi everyone — what a productive Sunday!
Here's a recap of our September 13 session — a deep dive into stage presence, Q&A, and the pageant walk — along with some important deadlines and to-dos before pageant night.
The pageant is drawing near, so please make every remaining meeting a priority. These final sessions are where everything comes together — your walk, your introduction, and your Q&A — and we want each of you fully prepared to shine on stage.

Recap — Sep 13 Session
|
Stage Presence & Q&A — Liz Yang
Liz Yang led a tutorial on stage presence — how to stand during Q&A, where to place your hands and arms, and how to answer articulately without stalling or looking unsure. Her biggest reminders: speak clearly and confidently, and keep your answer true to yourself.
Your Q&A Order & Question
Each contestant chose the order she'll go in for Q&A and the question she'll be asked. Start thinking through your answer now — and practice it out loud using the tips from Sunday.
The Walk, Stance & Posing — Masterclass
Maggie Ly and Victoria Yip — LA Chinatown 3rd Princess and Queen, respectively — gave a masterclass on the pageant walk, stance, and posing. Keep practicing at home so it feels natural on stage.

Your to-do checklist
Between now and pageant night, every contestant should be working on all of the following:
|
1 · Practice, practice, practice
Keep rehearsing your walk, stage presence, and Q&A at home — and your self-introduction, using Joleen's Self Intro tips on the Pageant Letters page.
2 · Sign & submit your media release (required)
Every contestant must sign and submit the Press & Media release. You'll find it — along with all of our pageant documents — on our Pageant Letters page.
3 · Find sponsors & sell tickets
Keep spreading the word — invite family, friends, and supporters to buy tickets, reserve a table, or sponsor a table. (Pricing and sponsorship options are just below.)
4 · Get your heels
If you don't have them yet, please get your nude heels — 3", platform, closed-toe. Victoria Yip's recommended pair:
