The Monterey Park Chamber of Commerce has devoted itself to improving the business climate in the city for over 70 years. The Chamber moved into Jardin El Encanto in March of 1995 and uses the facility to conduct its daily business and to make it available to the public for special events and functions.

The Chamber works to increase wealth and prosperity by facilitating the growth of existing businesses and fostering the establishment of new ones, The new wealth this growth generates can be directed toward establishing and improving civil, educational and cultural facilities in order to create a prosperous business environment for attracting businesses and industry.

A community will do well if the businesses are doing well. The better businesses are doing, the more sales tax revenue will be generated and the more money the city has to invest in improvement that benefits both the business and residential communities. It is a simple but effective concept that the Chamber strives to implement.
